The Pearl 

The Pearl is a tone poem based on John Steinbeck's novella of the same name.  In that work, native innocence is overtaken by greed, with perhaps inevitable results.  Slow opening, followed by a pastoral section, and then the fireworks start with a march figure, and a chase, coming to an end with the original theme again.  11’ 14”
